Originally from SoCal, Steven Baird escaped the Los Angeles cover band scene for survival, bought a one-way ticket to Europe and wandered for a year while exploring and developing his acoustic style. After more years wandering ‘round the western U.S., he ended up in Tucson in 2000 where he quickly gained a spot on the main stage at the Tucson Folk Festival, eventually performing there five times over the next several years.
