Paul's songwriting is eclectic and influenced by all the music he hears, but especially classic rock and pop, folk,  classical and various world musics.  Along with his own work, he  performs songs by artists including The Beatles, John Prine, Paul Simon,  The Shins, Tom Petty, and more.  Paul began his musical life as a rock  bassist but spent most of his life composing for orchestra and other  classical media and teaching others how to make music.  He left his  teaching career in 2019 to focus on writing, performing, and producing  his own songs.  His project, The Weed Garden, can be heard on all  streaming platforms and you can learn more about it at paulbarsom.com.
